The Common Room
The Concept
Our mission statement says we create space for makers and do-ers, and The Common Room is one way we do that! We are creating a community room that will be used for diverse needs— from hosting a writer’s group, providing a space for board meetings, having a “crafternoon” or life admin day with friends, or a pop-up shop for your small business...the ideas are endless, and we are working to build an environment that is a good space in which to gather.
We have some work to do before we can allow the public to use the space, as we figure out how to handle scheduling and rules for use. At this time as we navigate getting the space fully ready we are not charging for use. However, We are only able to allow usage if one of our board members is able to be present at your event.

We have found that 16 people is quite a cozy group for a small class or meeting. A group any larger would probably not be feasible.

Currently with having to have a Placemakers board member present during use that will depend on the availability of our team. However as we make modifications to the space to allow use of the Restroom facilities in the theatre without accessing the main theatre, or the concessions area, we will be able to lend out the space more freely.
